Stewards Announces Public Meetings Regarding State Parks Closures

Responding to further State Parks cut-backs, Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods (Stewards) announces two public meetings. Over the past two years, campgrounds and coastal access sites have been closed and further closures may be coming. Working with local State Park staff, Stewards is considering ways to offset the closures. Contract signed for operations of Jack London State Historic Park!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 10, 2012 The first contract allowing a non-profit to begin full operation of a state park was announced today.  Jack London State Historic Park will be operated by Valley of the Moon Natural History Association under a  five year, renewable contract, made possible by Jared Huffman’s legislation, AB 42. Back Country Horsemen and the Sonoma County Trails Council help maintain trails at Annadel State Park
