Jack London State Historic Park is a touchstone to California’s past, celebrating the life and work of our state’s most celebrated writer. The cottage where London lived, wrote, and died, the ruins of his massive and beloved Wolf House, and the museum designed and built by his wife and sister draw thousands of visitors from around the world each year. Beauty Ranch, London’s thriving ranching enterprise, is experienced as visitors take a trip back in time.
The 1400 acres include access to over 20 miles of hiking, riding and biking trails through redwoods, across creeks and springs, to the top of Sonoma Mountain. The Grandmother Redwood Tree and historic orchard, Jack London’s dam, boathouse and lake, and the Bay Area Ridge Trail provide hours of quiet hiking, picnic areas, and incredible views to the bay.
